Brigman Home Services completed an exterior painting and porch repair project in Piperton, Tennessee. The scope included a full exterior wash, masonry priming, repainting of brick and siding, color changes for doors and shutters, replacement of rotten porch posts, and painting of the back porch. The work focused on updating the home’s look and addressing deteriorated porch components.
We began by pressure washing the entire home, including all brick surfaces. This step removed dirt, mildew, and loose paint so the next steps could be done cleanly and last longer. After the surfaces were cleaned and allowed to dry, we primed all the brick with Loxon concrete and masonry primer/sealer. The primer was applied across all brick to create a consistent base for the paint.
After the primer cured, we painted all the brick. The new paint color was chosen to give the house a more modern look, and painting the brick helped unify the exterior appearance. In addition to the brick, we changed the color on all the siding, doors, and shutters. Those color changes were completed in coordination with the brick paint so the whole exterior reads as a single, updated design.
On the front porch we removed old, rotting posts that needed full replacement. The team installed new, larger 10 inch by 10 inch posts in place of the old material. Replacing the deteriorated posts eliminated the visible rot and refreshed the porch structure. We also painted the back porch, matching the new exterior palette so the rear of the home complements the updated front.
Throughout the project we followed a clear sequence: clean, prime, paint, and replace where necessary. Pressure washing prepared surfaces, the Loxon concrete and masonry primer/sealer provided a uniform masonry base, then painting and trim work finalized the new exterior look. Replacing the porch posts addressed a maintenance issue while coordinating with the painting work for a cohesive finish.
Brigman Home Services completed the job in Piperton, Tennessee with attention to each of these steps, delivering a refreshed exterior appearance for the homeowner. The combined work on brick, siding, doors, shutters, and porches gave the house an updated, modern look while resolving areas of decay on the front porch.
